About Ezra

Ezra has a deep passion for health and fitness and he has dedicated his whole life to this pursuit. Having captained both the under-16 and under-18 Victorian State AFL teams, he was drafted to Richmond in 1999 and played professional football at the highest level for 4 years.

He transitioned into the fitness industry starting his own Personal Training business. Ezra has been in the fitness industry for 20 + years and run successful PT business’ in Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland. During this time, he has continued to train and explore different sports, disciplines and training methods including athletics, running, football, soccer, basketball, bodybuilding and swimming and CrossFit.

For the past 7 years, Ezra has successfully managed and run his own gym in Balaclava whilst also training One on One clients. He has completed numerous courses and seminars, and is still competing in competitions around Australia. He is passionate and dedicated to becoming the best coach and trainer he can possibly be whilst running a successful community based gym.

Coaching and mentoring clients to achieve things they never thought possible, improving their health and fitness whilst also improving their quality of life is extremely rewarding to him.

I love this gym. I love how the trainers are dedicated to helping you improve and beat your personal bests. I love how it always challenges and can be easily scaled to any level of fitness or ability. But the thing I love most about Balaclava Fitness is the camaraderie. At other gyms you turn up, do your workout and go home. But here there’s a community. People chat before and after the sessions and, most importantly, support each other through the workouts. I frequently finish last but I am never alone in doing so.
